Oceana Manufacturing is an Italian managed South African Company founded in 1998.

The Managing Director and driving force of the company
Is Dr.Giulio Debenedetti, a medical doctor with a life long passion for aquariology. In 1993, when living in the Philippines, he met the world-renowned American wildlife artist Mr. David Baskin and immediately a friendship and a professional interest in his artistic creations were born.

Dr. Debenedetti spent few years in building up a lot of experience, while working with Mr. David Baskin in big rockwork projects all over Asia,such as Ocean Park in Hong Kong and The Maritime Museum in Macao and many others.

Dr. Giulio Debenedetti then moved to South Africa, where Oceana Manufacturing was founded in 1998.

After obtaining his degree in zoology, Davide Debenedetti joined The Company full time in 2002.

Oceana Manufacturing has realized many projects for the United States, Middle and Far East, Australia, Europe and South Africa.
95% of Oceana’s work is outside South Africa.

Recently, sub-contracting for ICM-Reynolds, Oceana has realized And installed the rockwork for the second largest free-standing acrylic aquarium in the world, in Kaunas Lithuania (click here for more information) and the rockwork for the biggest fish restaurant aquariums in the world in Antalya, Turkey (click here for more information).

Those recent, large and prestigious projects have firmly put Oceana in the map as a global enterprise for design/built Aquarium decorations.
Oceana operates from a state of the art industrial building of a combined covered area of 4000 square meters, situated in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve in Warmbaths, a village 100km north of Pretoria, South Africa's capital.

We have a permanent work force of 25 people that can easily be temporarily extended up to 250 for major projects.

This labour flexibility, in total respect of South African labour law, allows record times in pre-fabricating the rockwork and our absolutely innovative puzzle-like construction and assembly method permits extremely short installation times on site.

Our installation team is able to perform in every corner of the World.
The quality and attention to detail of our product is unmatched and the pricing of this extremely labour intensive product, is very competitive in the international arena since Oceana operates from a low labor cost developing country.
