Oceana was subcontracted by ICM Reynolds for the design/construction
of the artificial reef for the aquarium at the AB Baltic Mega Mall in Kaunas.
This aquarium is 10 Mt. tall by 3 Mt. wide.
It is believed to be the second largest free-standing acrylic aquarium in the world and the largest tropical fish tank in Eastern Europe.
The construction of the tank started in August 2005 with a deadline for inauguration fixed for December 2005.
Oceana’s innovative pre-fabrication installation method, allowed for the construction of the exhibit to be finished at the factory in South Africa in 30 days during September 2005.
The finished exhibit was container shipped and arrived on site in early November 2005.
A record time installation of 10 working days allowed to meet the December deadline for the completion of the project.
